Who We Are

Power Producers and Distributors Inc. (PPDI), incorporated under the Laws of Guyana as a state-owned entity, was established in December 2016.

PPDI commenced commercial business operations through a Contractual Operations and Maintenance Agreement with the Government of Guyana effective 1st January 2017.

Under this Agreement, PPDI was contracted to operate and maintain the four (4) Wartsila Power Plants with installed capacity totaling 106.4MW.

Specifically, generating and supplying energy to the national grid within the Demerara and Berbice interconnected system, while maintaining high reliability through prudent asset management.
